Most of my books are used but examined for their condition. New books will be listed as new. Refunds are cheerfully given if I have misrepresented a book in the ad. Please email me with any questions or complaints. I tend to under rate books to avoid any disappointment for the customer. Descriptions of book conditions are as follows: New Brand New. If there are any remainder marks they will be noted. Like New Cover and dust jacket will look like new. Pages will be clean and complete - just as it was unread, no creases or tears. There will be no underlining or highlighting of text.
Very Good Shelf wear to the book cover or jacket may be slightly apparent but no tears or extreme bumping to corners. Pages are clean and complete. Might have some slight pencil marks or previous owner identification inside the cover or on the front cover page. Perfectly fine to use as a reference or to read yourself. Not gift worthy, unless it is understood.
Good Could be some minor damage to the cover, jacket or binding. No missing pages, but they might be yellowed from age and have a slight old smell. Possible underlining and highlighting of text but nothing that keeps the text from being easily read.
Poor Having very little collector value, a book in “Poor” condition is considered merely a “reading copy”. It is very well worn and may have severe binding defects. A few text pages and perhaps maps or plates may be missing. “Poor” copies may be soiled, scuffed, stained or spotted and may have loose joints, hinges, pages, etc. Not fit for collecting unless extremely rare.
