The proper care, operation and adjustment of the combine is extremely important in order to obtain the most efficient and economical service from this rather complicated machine. The sucessful farmer must have a more thorough knowledge of mechanics than those of a generation ago when farming equipment was less complicated. This manual has been prepared to aid instructors of vocational agriculture in the training of farm youth, young farmers and adult farmers in securing the maximum efficient service from their combines. The major jobs in the operation and maintenance of combines are presented herein. This manual should be used by the instructor before making demonstrations.
